Larger sized practice with offices across the UK seek an accountant as follows:
Experience Newly qualified or up to 2-3 years post qualification in small to medium sized practice
Salary offered Negotiable depending on qualifications and experience
The role will entail accounts preparation and audit of businesses within the small to medium owner managed business sector. Audits and accounts preparation undertaken will be varied and turnovers will typically be from £1 million to £30 million.
Applicants will be expected to demonstrate an ability to complete audit planning and fieldwork without significant supervision and take an active role in the training and development of more junior staff.
Would suit a candidate looking to move from a small to medium sized firm to a top 20 firm to gain greater experience and promotional prospects.
Skills that would be an advantage
Experience of auditing not for profit organisations would be an advantage but not a necessity.
A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of Sage accounts production and corporation tax software and Sage 50, again an advantage but not a necessity.
